Jermuk is a famous first-class hydrotherapy resort in the central Armenia, with one of the world’s most unique mineral water from surrounding hot springs known for its curing features since ancient times. The town is considered to be attractive for its waterfalls, the natural bridge, the lake, its magical forests, alpine meadows and mineral water pools.
William Saroyan, talented American writer has sincerely admired Jermuk, and during one of his visits said: "The Armenian World is a real Paradise and its high, skyscraping crown is the Jermuk city. There is plenty of water and sunshine is filling soul with warmness. Everyone once visited this wholesome place will never forget sweetness of its healing water, shady forests, magnificent waterfalls, the smell of the Alpine flowers, and silvery smooth surface of the Arpa River".
One of the most attractive nearby destinations is the Gndevank Monastery, located just 10 km west of Jermuk. This monastery is more than 1000 years old. |
